此碟为diy版本，原盘来源于网络。在原盘基础上仅添加两条国粤语音轨。第一条音轨保留为国语，仅片头曲不能和你分手替换为当，片尾曲有一个姑娘替换为雨蝶。第二音轨为09年香港重播的粤语版。

乾隆皇帝东巡时与一女子夏雨荷有过一段露水姻缘，后雨荷生下一女夏紫薇而乾隆并不知情。多年后，雨荷病逝。紫薇携丫环金锁带着当年乾隆留下的信物，从济南千里迢迢到北京欲与父亲相认。主仆二人到京城后根本无法进宫面圣，趁朝廷官员梁廷桂儿子的婚礼混入梁府欲求梁廷桂帮忙引荐。正巧遇见小燕子大闹梁府婚礼，后二人结为好友。小燕子热心为她想办法混入宫，她们得知乾隆要到围场打猎，于是三人准备翻过一座山崖进入围场，但是紫薇和金锁爬不上去，紫薇只得拜托小燕子只身带着信物翻进围场寻找乾隆，进入围场后小燕子被五阿哥永琪的箭射中昏迷，乾隆以为是刺客，但是当他看到了摺扇和画卷以后，误认为小燕子是自己的女儿，将她带回皇宫治伤，并册封她为还珠格格。而紫薇却落得一无所有，连唯一的证物都失去了。皇上为庆贺重获爱女举行祭天仪式，仪仗队伍行经街市，正巧被紫薇、金锁看到。冲动之余紫薇冲上前欲拦队，被侍卫打昏，又被大学士福伦之子福尔康所救。福府在知道其身世后将她收留。
